Bonnell springs are the traditional hard springs that are used for decades in mattress production. They are placed in the middle of the mattress and are connected with each other with a helical wire something that makes them less receptive to pressure. Mattresses with Bonnell springs are usually harder and although they provide support to your spine, they lack of anatomic features.
Pocketed springs are springs which are placed in a fabric pocket (hence their name). They are usually soft springs which are not connected with each other something that lets them move independently in order to apply different pressure to different parts of your body. Pocketed springs mattresses adapt perfectly to your body movements and are ideal for couples since the impact of one person’s sleep on the other’s sleep is drastically reduced.

It depends. Recent studies, in contrast with past ones, show that medium hardness mattresses are ideal since they combine proper back support with body embracement. However, even though research applies to the majority of people, it cannot be applied to all of us, since each one of us has unique characteristics.
In general we can say that for people who are used to lying on their back, a hard mattress  can be an ideal choice, but for people who like to sleep on their side and even more on their stomach, a hard mattress is usually very uncomfortable. A medium hard or pocketed mattress is a better choice for them.

Because back or medical problems can vary from person to person and because we are not doctors, we strongly believe that is better for someone suffering from back pain to get the advice of a doctor or physiotherapist regarding the hardness of their mattress. Every problem requires a different approach and only an expert can advise you on what mattress you should buy.

Not always. What is true though is that a higher price mattress is made of better quality materials than a lower price mattress (e.g. pocketed springs, memory foam, latex). High quality materials make a mattress more capable of embracing your body, adapt to your body movements and apply the right amount of pressure to the body.
But that does not mean that everyone will find a higher price mattress more relaxing during sleep time, since the most important factor is the way the mattress interacts with your body (height, weight & structure) as well as your sleeping habits (e.g. which is the most dominant sleeping positions).
Therefore, the right way to choose a mattress is to test it in a shop and not judge by the price.

Children 3-12 years of age should avoid very soft mattresses since their body needs to provide support to their spine as they grow up.

Mattresses, just like every other product, don’t last forever. As the experts say, a usual life cycle is 8-10 years but it depends on things such as product quality and usage.
Very common symptoms and a practical way to realize that your mattress needs to be replaced are:
- if you wake up with back pain that relents during the day
- if you don’t rest as well as before
- if you rest better on other mattresses instead of yours
- if there are significant signs that mattress damage is irreparable

- always use a washable mattress protector in order to keep your mattress clean from stains and dirt
- don’t place your mattress in a broken, different size or a slatted base where the slats have a distance between them that is bigger than 7cm (we suggest a maximum distance of 5cm)
- be sure to turn your mattress from side to side and from end to end at least once every three months (during the first three months of your purchase we suggest turning it every 2-3 weeks)
- more suggestions you can find in our „Care Your Mattress” instruction which you can find on all of our mattresses.
